Power Soaps Ltd is planning to set up a sulphonation plant in Sedarapet in Pondicherry. The project involves setting up of 96% Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid (LABSA) of capacity 72 TPD (18000 TPA) by synthesising LAB and sulphur in multi tube reactor using raw materials namely, Linear Alkyl Benzene and Sulphur to be procured from refineries in Chennai and Jamnagar. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 75 million.
