Himadri Speciality Chemicals is planning to set up a new manufacturing facility in Odisha. The project involves setting up of a manufacturing facility to produce lithium iron phosphate (LFP), a critical material used in the manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles. The new facility will initially have a production capacity of 40,000 tonnes per annum. The project is likely to be executed by a special purpose vehicle Himadri Future Material Technology, which will invest over ₹ 11,250 million towards the project.
