Indian government imposes anti dumping duty on Zeolite

Indian government has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty on detergent grade ‘Zeolite 4A’ from China for a period of five years. The petition to levy this duty was sought by Gujarat Credo Mineral Industries Ltd and Chemicals India. Zeolite 4A is mainly used in detergents as a builder and they contain silicon, aluminum and oxygen in their framework and cat-ions, water and/or other molecules within their pores.

Zeolite is also available as natural minerals and it is also produced synthetically for specific uses in various industries. Based on investigation, the commerce ministry has imposed definitive anti-dumping duty that ranged from $ 163.96 per tonne to $ 207.72 per tonne.
