Numaligarh Refinery Ltd is planning to set up a bio ethanol project in Owguri Chaorigaon village in Golaghat district of Assam. The project involves setting up of bamboo based bio ethanol plant with a capacity of 49000 tpa, acetic acid with a capacity of 11000 tpa, furural (19000 tpa), biocoal (160000 tpa) and stillages (30000 tpa). The project cost is estimated at Rs. 9505 million.
