Assam Industrial Development Corporation is planning to set up a plastic park in Gelapukhuri in Tinsukia district of Assam. The park will be developed with assistance from Department of Chemical & Petrochemicals, Govt. of India. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 9365 million. As of May 2018, the project has received all clearances and is expected to go operational by end 2019.
