Nirma plans expansion of its Kalatalav unit

Nirma Ltd is planning to expand its unit in Kalatalav in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat. The project involves expanding light soda ash manufacturing capacity from 2000 tpd to 2800 tpd, dense soda ash manufacturing capacity from 1200 tpd to 1800 tpd. The project also involves increasing the by-product capacity of caustic soda by 270 tpd and hydrochloric acid by 240 tpd. The project also set up manufacturing facilities of Hydrogen Peroxide (100%), Epichlorohydrine (ECH) (150 tpd), Glycerin (160 tpd), Mono Chloro Acetic Acid (120 tpd).
