About the Company :
Cenosphere India Pvt Ltd commenced operations in April 2004. At present, it has an installed capacity of 5,500 tonne per annum in Kolkata and 2,000 tonne per annum in Nagpur. The capacity utilisation of the units declined to 46% in FY2017 owing to a slowdown in demand from oil-drilling companies due to declining crude oil prices. The company also started trading in steam coal in FY2016. Roughly 51% of the revenue in FY2017 was derived from sale of cenosphere, while the rest was generated by trading activities.
