ONGC is planning to develop new exploratory oil wells in the districts of Sibsagar and Charaideo districts of Assam. The company plans to invest over ₹ 6,000 million and has plans to drill over 200 wells over a period of 7 years.
As of January 2019, the project is in planning stage and the company is in the process of obtaining statutory clearances.
