Mysore Petrochemicals is planning to expand its chemical unit in Taloja in Panvel Taluk in Raigad district of Maharashtra. The project involves expanding increase in recovery of Maleic Anhydride (MAN) (6500 tpa) from the additional effluents (generated due to proposed expansion of PA plant). It may be noted the company has existing Phthalic anhydride manufacturing capacity of 1,69,110 TPA. Since its capacity is being increased, the recovery unit have to be expanded. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 200 million.
