Vasant Chemicals Private Limited (VCPL) was established as a partnership firm by Mr. G K B Chowdhary in the year 1978. It was later incorporated as private limited company in the year 1988. It started with the manufacturing of dye intermediates, specifically Stilbene intermediate like 4,4, DiaminoStilbene 2,2, Disulphonic Acid (DASDA).
It ventured into manufacturing performance and specialty chemicals, and pharmaceutical intermediates in 2004. In 2006-07, the company sold its dye intermediates business to Deepak Nitrite Ltd. and has manufactured only specialty chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates since then. The manufacturing unit is located at Jeedimetla, Hyderabad and VCPL is setting up a new facility at Visakhapatnam
